Obtaining a pharmaceutical manufacturing license (ML) within the State of Qatar

Second Step for Licensing a Pharmaceutical Factory, at this Step, a final visit and inspection of the pharmaceutical factory to be licensed is carried out by Pharmacy and Drug Control Department inspection team
​Requirements and Documents: 
  1. Request to obtain the license before the end of the initial approval. 
  2. Fill out the final assessment form for a pharmaceutical factory (step 1.B). 
  3. A copy of the initial approval. 
  4. The factory management completes the infrastructure, buildings, and all technical matters. 
  5. Appointing the main human cadres in the factory (factory technical director, production manager, quality control manager). 
  6. Providing an organizational structure for the factory that shows the different departments and the number of employees in them. 
  7. A picture of the facility’s exterior signboard. 
  8. A copy of the commercial register and commercial license. 
  9. A copy of the civil defense certificate.  
  10. Approval from the Security Systems Department to regulate the use of security cameras and surveillance devices. 
  11. The names of persons authorized to sign official correspondence. 
  12. Electricity and water number. 
  13. A copy of the medical waste company’s contract. 
  14. Telephone number for contact.

After receiving and reviewing the documents requester obtains: 
The factory to be licensed is inspected by a team from different departments. The inspection is based on the principles of good manufacturing practices, and then a report is written and sent to the factory to be licensed. If the factory conforms to good manufacturing practices, it is given a pharmaceutical manufacturing license (ML) specifying the production lines. that were inspected.
