Trauma mortality rates - In 2022, for the 4th consecutive year, the HMC Trauma Program has demonstrated a mortality rate lower than North American counterparts participating in the American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) Benchmark Report; concurrent clinical trials reflect these same findings.
HMC Ambulance Service Response times. For the past 11 years, the average time for HMC’s Ambulance Service to respond to emergency calls has been faster than the target set by Qatar's first National Health Strategy in 2011.
In 2023, HMC had 4 hospitals, in addition to Sidra Medicine, ranked among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers, with 2 achieving top 100 ranking; highlighting the sector’s commitment to combining patient care, medical research and education to achieve the best outcomes and experience for patients.
