Musculoskeletal disorders can be divided broadly into joint diseases, physical disabilities, spinal disorders, and traumatic conditions according to the World Health Organization. It is one of the leading causes of illness and physical disability in developed and developing countries, and it also results in increased health care expenditures and lost working days. The Global Burden of Disease Study 2010 indicates that low back pain was one of the three main causes for years of healthy life lost in Qatar.
