Countries of the world are witnessing an increase in asthma, especially among children, and it is expected that the number of asthma sufferers will reach about 400 million people by the year 2025, and the high rate of asthma in the Arab Gulf region is attributed to the rapid change in lifestyle, dietary habits, and high exposure to allergens And tobacco smoke, dust and sandstorms, compared to other countries.

Health repercussions

Respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD negatively affect the quality of life for many Qataris, including children. People with asthma run the risk of complications from respiratory infections, such as influenza and pneumonia. No asthma treatment has yet been found, but this disease can be treated with early diagnosis and a treatment plan that ensures an improved quality of life for an asthma patient.

  • Support the integrated educational program on asthma in schools, including educational and awareness-raising activities and activities to support asthma patients​
