The Qatar Public Health Strategy aims to “create an integrated and comprehensive system that provides effective solutions to current and future public health challenges”.
By implementing the strategy, Qatar will be able to promote the health and well-being of all citizens and residents of its territory, paying particular attention to vulnerable populations.
Objectives of the Strategy:
- Reduce the impact and burden of communicable diseases
- Reducing the spread of diseases and premature death from non-communicable diseases (chronic)
- Enable individuals to make informed decisions to improve their health through effective awareness campaigns, and implement disease prevention strategies that enhance their lives and health for longer years
- Strengthening disaster management and emergency preparedness and disease outbreaks through advance planning.
